Corvette C6

The C6 reminds me of the last generation Vipers. The Corvettes have stepped up its muscularity while the Vipers in a cost reduction moves had the cowls revamped and to me emasculated.

Nissan GT-R: Supercar for the Middle Class

January 7, 2012

I haven’t seen one on the road so I took a snapshot at the dealership. For me, the black paint makes it a stealth bomber that turns heads out of curiosity, not out of attraction or desire. Gun metallic gray is the standard or the Super Silver paint will also do.

0-60 in 2.9 seconds

3.8 liter twin turbocharged V6

530 hp @ 6400 rpm

448 ft lb torque @ 3200 to 6400 rpm

Dual clutch 6 speed transmission

All this at a comparatively meager and hard to believe $90,000, within the range of a middle class to upper middle class Joe Average. Of course that means the kids have to pay for their own college tuition…

Bugatti Veyron

I would love it have one. Still give me the money and I’ll buy a Hennessey Viper tuned to 1000 hp and have enough money left over to almost retire.

Hennessey Viper

January 31, 2010

Dodge got the Viper right out of the gate. When a few years later they decided to change’s it cowl in the name of saving money, they emasculated the Dodge and downgraded it to the level of a Corvette, no disrespect to the Vette.

Hennessey Motor sports pumps up the baseline Viper into a 1000 plus bhp monster Bugatti Veyron beater. Read how it spanked the Veyron.  It’s the stuff of dreams for Joe Average.

Nissan GT-R

It’s a supercar that’s within reach of a slightly above average Joe but at $80,000, bringing it home would mean an endless daily torrent by the wife of how the money was ill spent.
